The Joys of Sushi

I just got back from dinner at my favorite Kingston restaurant, Ta-Ke Sushi. A few years ago, when I was accustomed to fabulous, classy sushi in Calgary, a place like Ta-Ke would not have been on my sushi radar. In high school, I went out for sushi almost every week, usually to high-end restaurants (thanks to my dad's credit card...). Now, Ta-Ke has grown on me, and they have some good options for delicious, healthy vegan dining.

The delicious futomaki roll: my favorite!

My recommendations:

-the futomaki "Katie Special" style: no crab or egg, tofu instead. Also includes cucumber, inari tofu, gourd, and a sweet Japanese vegetable of some sort

-the hawaian roll: a new favorite, with papaya, mango, celery, and tempura asparagus

-edamame: a must-have for a protein fix

-green salad: lovely way to start a meal, and topped with a tasty miso dressing
